MODIG Expands Through the Acquisition of LiCON

LiCON is pleased to announce that in December 2025, the company became part of the MODIG family.

With this announcement, LiCON joins the organization headquartered in Kalmar, Sweden, strengthening its capabilities through the combined strengths in high performance machining solutions. Through this transaction, MODIG has acquired 100 percent of the shares in LiCON, making the company a wholly owned subsidiary. This acquisition supports the long-term goal of building a strong and diversified organization focused on advanced machining solutions. By combining competencies and resources across Modig Machine Tool, IBARMIA, and LiCON, the organization will be able to accelerate innovation and deliver even greater value to customers.
