LiCON MT GmbH & Co. KG Becomes LiCON MT GmbH

LiCON MT GmbH & Co. KG will operate under the name LiCON MT GmbH going forward. The change in legal form is taking place following the acquisition by the Swedish Modig Group, which was completed in early 2026, and creates the organizational framework necessary to consistently continue the company’s successful development within the group.

Nothing will change for customers, business partners, and employees: contact persons, contracts, products, and services will remain unchanged. The strategic direction and the company’s customary high standards for quality, innovation, and customer focus will also continue seamlessly.

The name change is directly related to the acquisition of the company in early 2026 and represents another step in the organizational integration into the corporate group. With the new legal form, the corporate structures will be adapted to the current ownership structure, laying the groundwork for efficient and long-term corporate management.

The Laupheim location remains a central component of the corporate strategy. This is where LiCON’s roots lie; it is here that innovative machining solutions are developed, produced, and delivered to customers worldwide. The headquarters will continue to serve as the center for development, production, and service and thus remain the heart of the company.

The name LiCON MT has been deliberately retained. The abbreviation MT stands for “Machine Tools” and underscores the company’s focus on high-precision machining centers and modern manufacturing technologies. The LiCON brand is recognized worldwide for technical expertise, reliability, and collaborative partnerships.
